Solving an adblue defect on a Bucher Municipal sweeper : OptiFant 8000
Power reduction fault and error codes
Equipped with the JCB 444 engine, this sweeper frequently finds itself in degraded mode. It is no longer possible to accelerate the machine sufficiently, as engine speed slows down the more severe the fault.
Various fault codes on this OptiFant 8000 sweeper
Several codes are present on the sweeper management system. The main ones are those related to the NOx measurement system, as well as power reduction faults (Limp Mode).
Faults SPN 521002 FMI 2 and SPN 521003 FMI 2 are directly linked to the exhaust aftertreatment system. It is therefore no longer possible to operate the machine.
Complete system programming
The radical solution used, that of completely removing the post-processing device, is achieved by directly reprogramming the engine management unit (Delphi) and its DCU (post-processing management ECU). Indeed, information feedback on the CANBus network obliges us to program both units, without which error codes would inevitably remain.
This programming completely removes the DPF, as well as the SCR (Adblue) and EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) systems. The particulate filter can be emptied and the adblue pump disconnected following our operation.
Adblue Bucher Municipal : The solution for all JCB-powered machines
This operation ensures that the OptiFant 8000 sweeper (or other JCB-powered models) will operate optimally at all times, without any interruptions due to problems with the exhaust after-treatment system.
In conclusion, by opting for this programming approach, we put a lasting end to power reduction problems and error codes, thus ensuring flawless operation of the sweeper and avoiding any downtime. This solution represents an effective strategy for guaranteeing constant machine performance, optimizing productivity and reliability.
